RLPF – Independent Study Edition for Non-Texas & Open Charter Schools
Students who are trying to study on their own, either to gain insight or complete course credits for graduation, will benefit from Real Life Personal Finance. Many are seeking real life as their prefrontal cortex brains demand opportunities to be an adult.
RLPF is uniquely designed as a rigorous course to challenge the learner to critically think, problem-solve, discuss assignments with family, friends and fellow students. Additionally, their world is expanded as they observe community problem and decide the standard of living they would like to have in ten years. It is also ideal for any learner who wants a deep understanding of finances to achieve goals and avoid future mistakes.
RLPF is a personal finance course first approved by the Texas Board of Education. The course does though correlate with common core standards. RLPF is written and annually updated by award-winning financial professionals with credentials and advanced degrees and 30 years of experience, advising thousands of families through objective, corporate-sponsored financial education programs.
RLPF is outcome based. It was piloted as an emersion summer school course for underserved sophomore students. 98% of course graduates entered college and 91.7% completed college in 6 years. This is an exceptional course for any young adult.
RLPF is an online, one-semester course developed to engage students in practical real-life personal finance, career, post-secondary education funding and selection to achieve financial security and independence goals.
The course license offers a student and an instructor view so the student can answer questions, quizzes, and complete assignments, and access the instructor’s view to compare answers which include D&A recommendations.
D&A’s publishing objective – to prepare young adults to thrive in the knowledge economy of the 21st century.
